Okay so here are some pictures of Lizards. This species is very popularly kept as a pet and unfortunately exhibited in zoos. Microlophus peruvianusMicrolophus is a genus of Tropidurid lizards. It contains at least twenty species. Bearded Dragon is awesome because he's got a beard. Yay. I've heard they can be mean sometimes, but I think they're uber-cute and I just love 'em. My favorite rep for sure.

I think it has to do with his skin. Maybe because his skin is...scaly? I don't know.

LOL forum jester The bearded dragon's "beard" is actually a crest used in combat to fight males. They puff it out and stuff. Also, I have never heard of a mean bearded dragon, they are supposed to be very affectionate to their owners But I still would rather have snakes any day!
